Legacy
Each Legacy cabinet is carefully assembled, handcrafted with
care throughout the entire process from selecting our own
wood to applying the final coat of finish. Many manufacturers
create different levels of specifications for their products.
This can cause confusion.
Legacy has only one set of specifications. What you see is
what you get.

birch, easy clean melamine interiors.

of base cabinets are 1/2” thick engineered wood with
easy clean birch melamine both sides. Tops and bottoms are
glued and set into the sides and hangar rails.
Exteriors
- Hand wiped stains.
- Catalyzed conversion varnish is extremely durable. This
protective finish is both moisture and stain resistant to
bring out the rich patina of the wood.
Drawers
- Drawer boxes: 5/8” thick solid birch dovetailed
on all four corners.
- Lifetime warranty on drawer boxes.
- Bottoms are 1/4” plywood.
- Drawer Glides are undermount, white epoxy coated with
captive rails. Self-closing on nylon rollers for silent
movement. Lifetime guaranteed with a 100 pound rating.
- Precision undermount glide optional.
Finish
- Center panels for doors are pre-stained prior to assembling.
- Wood surfaces are prepared for finish with sanding equipment
to maintain consistency.
- Stains, formulated for depth and clarity, are handwiped
to accent the beauty of the wood.
- The stain is allowed to air dry in flash tunnels after
final handwiping.
- The sealer is applied to draw wood fibers up and generate
the initial protective coating.
- Ovens dry the sealer, which is then handsanded to remove
wood fibers and create a surface that is consistent, smooth
and ready for topcoat.
- The topcoat, a high-solid, catalyzed, conversion varnish,
is the final protective coating.
- Ovens provide enough heat and air circulation to cure
the cross-linking chemistry and form an extremely durable
coating that is resistant to scuffs, moisture, and household
chemicals, to name a few.
